ASK.ME Games is an independent HTML5 browser-game aggregator at askme.rest, online since 2024. The Site offers thousands of free, instant-play browser games across more than 100 categories — puzzle, arcade, hypercasual, action, adventure, sports, strategy, racing, board games, and more — with no download required and no account needed for casual play. Games are licensed from third-party developers and publishers; we do not develop the games ourselves.

The Site exists for people who want a clean, fast, no-friction way to find and play browser games during a coffee break, a work pause, or as casual entertainment. We curate from licensed sources, organize the catalog by category and difficulty, and maintain a publication standard that prioritizes safe, fun, family-friendly content over volume-at-any-cost.

What ASK.ME Games is

A game aggregator — a publisher that licenses, organizes, and presents browser games developed by other parties. Our value-add is curation (which games are good enough to feature), organization (categories, search, related-game recommendations), and an experience layer (page design, loading speed, mobile compatibility) that makes the games more enjoyable to find and play.

What we are not:

• Not a game studio. We do not develop games. The development team for each game appears in the game’s credits and on the developer’s own pages.
• Not a paid-game store. All games on the Site are free to play in the browser. We do not sell games, in-game items, or premium tiers.
• Not a social platform. We do not host user-generated content, multiplayer matchmaking infrastructure beyond what individual games provide, or social features that collect personal information from players.

How ASK.ME Games started

The Site was launched in 2024. The motivation was to build a fast, ad-supported, no-friction games site that respects player time — without the registration walls, the aggressive interstitial ads, the data-collection requirements, and the dark patterns that degrade many casual-gaming sites. Browser-based HTML5 games are a mature category at this point: the licensing pipelines exist, the technology is portable across devices, and the audience is broad. The challenge is execution: curate well, present cleanly, monetize sustainably without being hostile to the player.

Two years later, the Site hosts over 2,400 games across more than 100 categories. The catalog grows weekly through new licensed content from our distribution partners.

Games on ASK.ME are licensed from established HTML5 game distribution networks and individual developer relationships. Major sources include:

• GameDistribution — a Turkish distribution platform with thousands of titles.
• GameMonetize — broad-catalog HTML5 distribution.
• CrazyGames partner network games licensed for redistribution.
• Individual indie developers who provide their games for embedding in exchange for traffic and ad revenue share.
• Open-source HTML5 game projects released under permissive licenses.

Each game on the Site is presented with attribution to its developer where the licensing terms include developer credits. Removal requests from developers, publishers, and IP holders are processed under our DMCA procedure.

Who runs ASK.ME Games

The Site is operated by Giovanni Picaro as Publisher and Operator. Detailed background on Meet the Operator. The operating model is single-publisher: one named individual responsible for content selection, technical operation, content-removal decisions, and the Site’s overall direction. Editorial-team scaling is intentionally not part of the model; volume comes from the licensed game catalog, not from a content-production team.

Where the Site is operated from

ASK.ME Games is operated from Italy. Hosting infrastructure is located within the European Union. Cross-border data processing is subject to GDPR, the Italian implementation through D.Lgs. 196/2003 as amended, and standard contractual clauses where service providers are located outside the EEA.

The audience is international (English-language) with strong readership across Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia. The Site does not target any specific national market exclusively; the games are general-audience HTML5 content that crosses linguistic barriers easily.

How ASK.ME Games makes money

The Site is supported by display advertising delivered exclusively by Adsterra. Adsterra was selected because:

• It accepts the casual-gaming aggregator vertical (some larger ad networks do not).
• It supports Adult-Family / general-audience inventory mixes appropriate to a games site.
• It provides COPPA-compliant ad-unit options for sites with potential under-13 audiences.
• It does not require minimum traffic thresholds that would exclude smaller publishers.

We do not run AdSense or Mediavine on this Site. AdSense’s content policies create friction with HTML5 game aggregator content (IP-derivative content, occasional category overlap with restricted topics); Mediavine has scale requirements and content-vertical preferences that don’t fit a game aggregator. Adsterra’s profile is the right fit for this Site.

We do not sell or rent visitor data. We do not run paid-subscription tiers. We do not currently accept reader donations.

What the Site looks like operationally

• Game additions happen weekly, typically in batches as new content arrives from licensed distributors.

Children, families, and the COPPA / GDPR Art. 8 framework

The audience on a casual browser-game site includes children. We treat this seriously:

• The Site is structured as a general-audience site that does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (the COPPA threshold under U.S. law) or under 16 in EU jurisdictions where the higher GDPR Art. 8 age applies.

What we believe about casual games

Three positions shape the Site’s editorial direction:

First, browser games should respect player time. No dark-pattern engagement loops, no aggressive in-game monetization (we don’t host them), no inter-game pop-ups designed to inflate metrics at player expense.

Second, aggregation is a service, not a substitute for the developers’ work. We attribute, we link back to developer pages where appropriate, and we honor takedown requests from rights-holders promptly.

Third, family-friendly defaults are not a constraint. The casual-games category has plenty of high-quality content suitable for general audiences; the volume cost of excluding inappropriate content is minimal compared to the trust value gained.
